Privacy Policy

China–US Business Tools is a collection of free calculators for planning trade between China and the United States — import costs, tariffs, Amazon FBA profit, and manufacturing cost. The calculators perform all math on your own device (in your web browser). There are no user accounts, no server-side databases, and no backend that receives the numbers you enter.

Because the heavy lifting happens locally, we are able to offer the tools without collecting personal information to operate them.

Information you enter. Values you type into a calculator — product cost, quantities, duty and tariff rates, exchange rates, shipping fees, and so on — are processed in your browser to produce a result. They are not transmitted to us and are not stored on any server we operate.

Saved scenarios. Some calculators let you save a set of inputs as a named scenario. When you do, those inputs are stored only in your own browser's local storage on the device you are using. They are never uploaded. You can delete a saved scenario, or clear your browser storage, at any time.

Analytics. The site includes a privacy-respecting analytics abstraction, but at this time no third-party analytics scripts are loaded and no personal data is collected for analytics. If a measurement provider is connected in the future, it will be configured to avoid collecting personally identifiable information.

Advertising. Page layouts reserve advertisement slots, but no ad network is connected and no advertising script is loaded. As a result, no advertising cookies or trackers are set by this site today.

Hosting and server logs. The site is delivered through a static host or content delivery network, which may record standard technical logs (such as request IP address and user agent) to operate and secure the service. Those logs are governed by the host's own privacy policy.

We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. The only browser storage we use is the optional local storage described above, which stores inputs you explicitly choose to save as scenarios. You can disable or clear it without breaking the calculators.

The information processed in your browser is used only to compute the estimate you asked for. Because we do not receive the inputs you enter, we cannot — and do not — use them for any other purpose.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Tool pages link to official sources such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. International Trade Commission for verification; those external sites operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

We do not retain the inputs you enter, because they are not sent to us. Any scenarios you save remain in your browser's local storage on your device until you delete them or clear your browser data.

The site is intended for business and planning use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

You can use every calculator without saving a scenario. To remove saved scenarios, clear your browser's local storage for this site (typically found in your browser's privacy or site-data settings).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
